Happy Birthday to Me

I think sometimes Birthdays are important just to let you know that you aren’t the centre of the world. You may be (you ARE actually) the centre of YOUR world, but not of everyone else’s. Thanks to everyone who rememberred (without having been reminded by facebook) especially Ajju and Jyoti. Lovies.

Happy Birthday to me. Legally adult.

Toodles! :)

Boy’s Toys

A (guy) friend of mine was telling me about some crazy online game he was trying to download and play without going online. (I absolutely detest the kinds of computer games guys play- especially online games.) “As guys grow up, their toys become more and more expensive” he said. I said I hated that guys never grow up. He said he was puzzled about why girls “let the child in themselves die”.

A week or so later, I was narrating our conversation to two of my girl friends. Of couse, toys were never something I expected would lead to a serios discussion. “Boy’s toys become more expensive, girls start following their’s- dressing up like barbies, makeup, lipstick, all that” Dabba said.

“Girls become toys” jj added. (more…)

Inhumane, too inhumane for anyone!

Anyone who has read this blog earlier or knows me personally knows that I’m not the biggest Maobadi fan in the world. And everything they do or say makes me hate them even more, be even more disgusted. The latest is that they’ve killed a certain Ramhari Shrestha by beating him up. Okay, so what’s the news in Maoists killing people, or even torturing them till they died? The news here is that this particular man was a BIG supporter of the Maoists. The media have said that if he hadn’t campaigned for Maoist Jhakku Prasad Subedi, no-one who beat the then UML Secretary general Madhab Nepal (who is not the best of politicians), Subedi wouldn’t have won. There are pictures of Maoist leaders Prachanda, Baburam Bhattrai and Badal having dinner with him at his home. And he “died during interrogation”? Right! They god-damn killed him, tortured him to death. if this is how they’re going to bring change, I don’t want change!

I am with the strike against the killing! If I didn’t have my exams, I swear I’d join (peacefully- truly). Except I don’t think Shrestha should be diclared “martyr”. Although my sentiments lie with him and his family entirely, he was killed by terrorist- he is a victim of SHEER INJUSTICE and TERRORISM, not someone who died for a noble cause.
