Maichyang’s Musings

Hmm…

Wanted to post the lyrics of the song yesterday but it didn’t work out graphically. I have nothing much to say, but I had to write to make it clear (to all) that blogging wasn’t just a past-time for me, that it means more than that to me. (Which makes me remember a song I used to love a lot. I still like it- “I will love you more than that” by Back Street Boys. I know they’re out of fashion, but I liked them not because they were trendy, but because I liked them- Simply.)

Spent a great day at Social Service- celebrating New Year with the people I work for during social service. It felt good, not just because I ate good food, but because I made it clear to them that I’m not there only to count my Community Service hours, but to do something.

2007 begins tommorrow. Have loads of reasolutions, like I already mentioned. Didn’t get too many comments on that post, so don’t now if you read it. Opened a new blog to write in Nepali, it’ll be practice, I guess. Got back my TV channels, after the first term results. Wasn’t too great, but still.

Don’t have much to say. Have a great New Year (And I don’t mean only New Year’s day.) Enjoy!
Signing off,

Finally!

My exams are done. Didn’t do too well. Actually, I don’t know what to expect in the result. All I know is that I gave it my best. And I worked hard this term. Obviously, after not having to do any homework for so long, I did have a hard time coping to the workload (You probably don’t agree. If you knew my teachers, you would.)

Apart from that, I got so many cool ideas for my blog. I’ll post the lyrics of a Hindi song. Although of course, reading the lyrics of a song is not half as fun as actually listening to the song, this one has great lyrics. Check it out la? If you can’t read Nepali text, (I’m thinking of two friends at this moment) hmm… well, lemme think… too bad (evil, ain’t I?)

I know this post itsn’t very cohesive, but well… Maybe listing out things I did in the past 9 days would be the best option. (more…)

Study Break

The first time at the end of a study break (my exams start tommorrow) that I feel like I’ve spent the last few days actually doing something productive. Man, it was a memorable study break.

I studied (pretty much- really), I danced to some irresistable songs played on Hits FM, I watched a good Nepali serial on NTV (sounds unlikely, but I’m not lying) on Sunday, and I took two warm baths with plenty of hot water (became a little wasteful)  heated on the solar cooker (yes, i know, we’re environmentally friendly.) Monday was the one day I did very little. But, no regrets. I’m prepared. Nervous about LitLang (didn’t know what to study except the poem), but I’ll be fine. Tommorrow’s the LitLang exam. And then I have three days off, then Math, and one day off and three exams. Boy… Fourteen days of exam fever for just five subjects.

I realised that althouh I’m not really fond of dance classes, those classes have made me fond of dancing. Good hai? well, not if I keep dancing to the songs playing on FM, but still. can smell something good cooking in the kitchen. Gotta rush. Wish me luck for the exams (first term, if I forgot to mention).

Till the 22nd (if I’m able to keep myself away from bloggy woggy),

Swiss Roll

I’ve written about people the last two times, and I think I should write something different today. This one’s about writing- perhaps the thing I love the most in the world (besides my friends and family and … Okay, those are people NOT things)…. WRITING!

Despite the fact that I somehow manage a D (even though it is top of D) in all LitLang assignments, I love writing. And, I love sharing. Comments posted on my blog aren’t half as powerful as the ones Miss Perry writes on my assignmnets. I LOVE it when I get good comments and forget about the bad ones (This doesn’t mean you have to write only good comments. You’re more than welcome to write bad ones- any comment is good for me) Miss P’s comments, however, make me undermine (is that the right word?) myself as a writer. I feel pathetic after yet another band 4, especially when I’ve spent hours and hours on the assignment. (more…)

The Girl who fell for MY Guy

There’s a girl. Popped in out of no where. She’s in school even now. In the second week of school, she goes on and on complaining about how bad the place is. And then, we click, tada… FRIENDS!!!

The only thing is, she likes EF. MY EF! And I was the first one she told. The thing is, we don’t even fight about it. If it was someone else, then I probably wouldn’t even talk to her. Really. The fact that we’re both so obsessed with him, may make it sound impossible that we talk all the time…. about him. It is only becuase of her that I’m glad I’m not going out with him- she drills stuff into my head, stuff that’s all negative about him. (I think we-the girl and I; probably would not be talking openly about him if I did go out wid EF (she doesn’t agree)) (more…)
